Blog #9: EQ

Content

I reviewed the rule of three for writing an EQ.

 a.  What is the most important factor in healthy weight loss?

No, this question does not meet the rule of three. It does allow for further research and multiple answers. It isn't however a specific question. The question only generally states weight loss, but is it weight loss for women, men, children? Or someone who has a condition? I believe weight loss cam be treated differently depending on who the patient is.

 b.  What is most important to securing a conviction in a criminal investigation?

Yes, I believe this question does follow the rule of three. The question seems like it can have more than one answer without having a list of facts. You would be able to argue  point of view and it is also specific enough to focus on an area.

 c.  What is most important in creating a hairstyle that best satisfies a customer?

No, I don't believe this question follows the rule of three. I believe when answering this question it will simply fall into a list of facts, which might just be a list of popular hairstyles or popular hairstyles.

 d.  How can an Anesthesiologist best treat chronic pain?

I'm not sure if this question is specific enough. "Chronic pain" is a very general area that I feel can be narrowed down more to create a better answered question. Instead of saying "Chronic Pain" maybe the question can instead say "chronic pain for cancer patients".

3.  Based on your review of the rule of 3 and your experience with assessing four EQs, please write another draft EQ for your senior project.

1st Draft EQ: What is the most essential action a music performer can master in order to be successful in the entertainment industry?

2nd Draft EQ: What is the most essential skill a singer can master in order to have a successful live performance?
