Blog 3: Topic Choice and Semester 1 ESLR Goals

The topic that I plan on studying further is Music Performing and Promoting! 

As far the ESLR's, while here they are:

• I plan to grow as an I-Poly citizen by joining a couple of committees that I feel suit my interests. Secondly, I am also going to try my best to attend all school events/functions (dances, fests, etc).
• I would like to use this year's core classes as an opportunity to become a better learner by using my agenda more effectively. I would also attempt to be more attentive during lectures and while reading so that I can further understand the material being taught. 
• I believe I am currently an effective user of technology but there is always room to improve. I would like to achieve this by using multiple forms of technology to complete components or core assignments. For example, on a core assignment instead of just turning in a power point I could use various forms of technology to submit something more creative. 
• I could use a lot of improvement on communicating effectively. Ways my communicating skills can be (and hopefully are) improved is through my senior project. I would like to work on communicating with my mentor through other means beside email. Just speaking to different people throughout the music industry for interviews and mentorships will give me a chance to sharpen this skill and build networks.
